Ammar emigrated to New Zealand in 1994 and completed his Obstetric and Gynecological training in Auckland. Ammar has been working with Kate Sheppard Midwifery for the past 10 years and has developed an excellent working relationship with the midwives on the Shore.
Ammar values the need of patients to freely discuss their hopes and fears for childbirth. Working with Kate Sheppard Midwifery allows him to further his interests in fetal medicine. He is also an expert laparascopic surgeon and holds a position at North Shore Hospital.
